Son of Mr. J. C. L. Ferreira. Riflemen Hunter, Bosch and Ferreira were on guard duty at a small post near the waterhole at Elundu, when their position was overrun by SWAPO. In the same incident, Sapper van der Mescht was captured and taken to Angola.
