LG Sup 22 March 1918 - "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He brought his section into action in support of an infantry assault, and working with a reduced detachment he continued in action until his task was completed under most intense fire. The coolness and contempt of danger which he displayed were a splendid example to his men."
