Husband of Mrs. E. L. Dawson, of Clifford Derme, Newent, Gloucestershire, England. Commanding Officer of the 1st SAI. Promoted to temporary Brigadier-General in December 1916, he took the command of the Brigade. In May 1917, he was appointed as additional ADC to HM King George V.
