Research notes

13 Oct 2026: New record. Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post, 13 Oct 2026, Lohatlha Exercise Seboka Oerlikon GDF Mk V malfunction, nine fatalities. No service number given. Not in DB prior to this pass. Distinct from the unrelated Nyembe records already in DB (37023-37025, Native/Reserve Constables, 1923-2012).
14 Oct 2026: INITIALS CONFLICT, NOT CHANGED: Mike Sandham OMISSIONS: 13 OCTOBER, citing The Gunners' Association of South Africa Roll of Honour, gives Initials "S V S" against this record's own "S S" (FirstName "Sammuel Sphiwe") -- the extra middle initial "V" suggests a third name component not currently recorded. Flagged, not applied, since no actual name is given to fill it with.
