14 Oct 2026: IDENTITY QUESTION FLAGGED, NOT CHANGED. Mike Sandham OMISSIONS: 12 OCTOBER (mailed 12 Oct 2026) names this record's companion casualty "Kleinhans A." from the SADF Wall of Remembrance supplementary panel, matching this record's own Initials "A". However, examining the actual photo directly (John's Downloads folder, 14 Oct 2026) the inscription on that row is difficult to read with confidence and may show a different initial (possibly "H.") -- this record's identification as the man on the panel is therefore not fully certain from the photo alone, though Sandham's own transcription supports it. Separately, FORCE QUESTION FLAGGED, NOT CHANGED: this record is stored as SAP "Constable...in the execution of his duty as a member of the South African Police", but the panel inscribes the name under Army, rank "Rfn" -- suggesting he may actually have been an SADF conscript involved in the Buffel side of this collision, not a police officer. Neither the initial nor the Force/Rank framing has been changed pending a clearer look at the photo.
