Across the roll 787 records carried such a contradiction; judged against Corps and Regiment -- independent of both columns -- the evidence backed Branch 744 times and Unit2 not once. Branch is therefore kept and the contradicting word removed. Nothing is guessed: this man's branch of service is already recorded, and his sub-unit, if any, is simply not known.

FirstName "Edward" and Age 34 were both copied from the immediately preceding record, Waters, Edward (33807, Air Force Gymnasium, died 1964, unrelated) -- the two adjacent records shared an identical Age (34), the classic forward-fill signature, and this record's own Initials "J T" never matched "Edward" in the first place. Mike Sandham OMISSIONS: 11 OCTOBER flagged exactly this ("Person # 33808 First name/Age contaminated by 33807?") and supplies the correct figures via Bushwar Books' 22 March post: "Justin Trevor Watkins...found dead on the Heidelberg Shooting Range with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head...He was 19" -- FirstName and Age applied here, matching Initials "J T" exactly.
