Research notes

26 Aug 2026: Corps from SAWGP Regiment South African Infantry Corps; Unit leftover "1 Parachute Battalion" → 12 South African Infantry Battalion (SAWGP Unit).
25 Sep 2026, Unit2 service-branch sweep: the stored Secondary Unit "Army" was CLEARED as a duplicate. It was not a sub-unit, it was a service-branch word repeating what the Branch column already says. Secondary Unit is for sub-units -- a company, a squadron, a commando -- and this record's branch of service is unchanged at "Army".
12 Oct 2026: CONFIRMED CONTAMINATION, CORRECTED. Age 23 cleared and replaced with 27 -- was shared identically across seven contiguous records (31804-31810, Mokwena x3/Molale/Molara/Molatole/Molebatsi), each with an unrelated cause of death -- a classic forward-fill block. Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post, 12 Oct 2026, gives this man as 27, applied here per the 9 Oct 2026 policy.
