Son of Mr. T. L. C. and Mrs. J. L. Kallman, of Hayhurst Place, Woodlands, Durban. Born in Springs. Attended Glenwood Boys High School in Durban. He joined the Permanent Force as a Trainee Aviation Instrument Technician at the School for Logistical Training, TEK Base, Pretoria.
