Died of wounds. During an attack in the vicinity of Bagnoregio, a tank of 2 Troop threw a track. During the recovery of the tank and rescue of the crew, he was wounded by a sniper. He was hospitalised with a gun shot wound to his left shoulder which resulted in a paralysis of his left side. He died later in the day
