Citation

LG Sup 30 January 1942 pg. 503 - "This airman was first employed as an air gunner and afterwards as observer, acting as such without previous training or attending a recognised observer's course. Nevertheless, his navigation has been good and his bomb aiming beyond reproach. Air Sgt. Kleyn has been on active service since May, 1940, and throughout he has set a worthy example."
