DFC LG Sup 9 July 1943 pg. 3095 - "Over a period of 15 months Captain Kaufman has displayed continuous gallantry in the Western Desert and has to his credit at least three enemy aircraft destroyed. As a flight commander he has led the squadron most successfully.
