Husband of Annie Pauline Gee, of East London, Cape Province. From "The Scotsman" 21 October 1916 - Major Harry A Gee, South African Overseas Contingent, died from wounds, was a native of the Springburn district of Glasgow, and a coach builder to trade. He was an enthusiastic volunteer in the city and when he joined the railway service in South Africa, he continued his active interest in military affairs. He was through the South African War, and also served through the campaign in German South-West Africa, after which he was specially selected for overseas service. Shortly after he arrived in Britain he was promoted Major, and second in command of his regiment on active service.
