Died in Shooting Incident, in Bulawayo whilst working with a group of "tame terrorists". Original thoughts were that Mike was shot by the cook whilst on a practice shoot at the rifle range but, later suspicions turned to a white fellow soldier who shot Mike from behind. Source: withheld due to lack of proof. Formerly a member of Selous Scouts Mike was also involved with the Special Forces "Q" Cars unit. James Mackenzie gives the date of death as 08 May 79
