Son of Henry McArthur Blakeway, of Marshall Street, Cambridge, East London. On Cambridge Town war memorial for 1914-18. Walter Lennox Blakeway is recorded as being one of the 3 Officers and men who were relieved at Delville Wood on 20 July 1916. He was attached to the 2nd Trench Mortar Battery and later, after being wounded on 16 December 1916 he was later KiA on 12 April 1917.
