Brother of Mr. Robert Harvey Macluckie, of Union Bank House, 22 King Street, Stirling. Born March 1878, and was at Loretto from 1892 to 1895. He took his B. Sc. degree at Edinburgh University, and afterwards he went to the Cape as a Civil Engineer. At the outbreak of war he returned to Scotland and obtained a commission in the 3rd A. and S. Highlanders in March 1915. Capt. MacLuckie joined a Battalion of his Regiment in France and became Brigade Bombing Officer, being given later the command of a Trench Mortar Battery. ref.
