Citation

MC LG Sup 16 September 1918 pg. 10981 - "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty when in command of a successful raid. He captured a prisoner and demolished the enemy's trenches, afterwards withdrawing his party without loss. He had previously reconnoitred this position both by day and night". DCM LG Sup 22 September 1916 pg. 9296 - "For conspicuous gallantry and ability when in command of a platoon in action. He led patrols and obtained valuable information under heavy shell and sniping fire. On one occasion he carried back a dangerously wounded officer, and then assisted to dig out three men buried by shell explosion". MM LG Sup 14 December 1916 pg. 12221
