Son of the Revd. Canon Thomas G. le Mesurier and Annalie le Mesurier; husband of Phyllis D. M. le Mesurier, of Pretoria, Transvaal, South Africa. A South African Ace he had 3 Destroyed / 1 Probably Destroyed / 1 Damaged. Remembered on Diocesan College Roll of Honour. He attended Diocesan College 1922-32.

Citation

LG 23 April 1943 pg. 1855 - "This officer completed much operational flying in the Western Desert, displaying fine leadership and great courage throughout. On one occasion when 14 Stukas were shot down without loss to the Squadron, Major le Mesurier, flew with great distinction. His skilful leadership contributed materially to the success achieved. This officer has destroyed one enemy aircraft and probably destroyed several others."
